About Jules Hogan, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Jules Hogan, PT, DPT is a physical therapist at Joint Ventures Physical Therapy in Kendall Square. She completed Boston University’s six-year BS/DPT program, earning a bachelor’s degree in Health Studies and her Doctor of Physical Therapy. While at BU, she was a captain of the Division I track and field team.
Jules treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions, including spine and back pain, neck pain and headaches, foot and ankle injuries, sports injuries, concussion, dizziness and vertigo, and chronic and persistent pain. She is a member of the APTA.
Jules has a strong interest in education and research. During her clinical rotations she presented in-services on topics ranging from exercise and nutrition considerations for injury prevention in menopausal women, which she later adapted into a blog post, to inpatient mobility and rehabilitation strategies for patients with blindness and dementia. Her capstone project focused on aging in the carceral setting, where she implemented a 10-week multimodal exercise program for the Older Adults Re-entry Unit at the Middlesex County Jail and House of Corrections. As an undergraduate, she worked in BU’s Center for Neurorehabilitation, assisting with research on the effect of dual-tasking on gait speed in patients following stroke.
Outside the clinic, Jules enjoys run clubs, lifting, drawing and crafting in the park, finding live music, hiking, and browsing thrift stores and flea markets.
