Boston Physical Therapy Rooted in Purpose, Driven by People

Award-Winning 1-on-1 Physical & Occupational Therapy in Greater Boston Since 2005

At Joint Ventures, how we care matters. Since 2005, our physical therapy and occupational therapy practice has been built on a commitment to true 1-on-1, patient-centered care—where we treat people, not diagnoses. Every plan of care is thoughtfully designed using a multidisciplinary approach, allowing us to restore health in meaningful, lasting ways.

Our board-certified clinicians go beyond the clinic—volunteering at the Boston Marathon, educating local sports teams on injury prevention and rehabilitation, and checking in with patients on their days off. Caring doesn’t stop when a session ends.

Our patients matter. We deliver exceptional care, led by people who truly care. We are committed to developing leading-edge physical therapists who create life-changing outcomes—empowering people to feel better, move freely, and live fully. Find a clinic near you or book an appointment today.

Our Story: How Joint Ventures Became Boston's Most Trusted Physical Therapy Practice

Joint Ventures was founded on May 2, 2005, when physical therapists Dan Brownridge, MSPT and Dave Larson came together with one shared goal: to build the best place in Boston to practice physical therapy, occupational therapy, and receive quality care. Nearly two decades later, both Dan and Dave are still here—still treating patients, still mentoring clinicians, and still raising the bar for what exceptional outpatient physical therapy looks like in Greater Boston and beyond. Today, Joint Ventures has grown to 12 locations across Boston and the surrounding suburbs, serving patients across orthopedics, sports medicine, pelvic health, hand therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and more. We are an organization filled with passionate, determined, and caring people—from our clinicians to our executive, administrative, and billing teams—all dedicated to creating an advanced, personal experience for every patient we see.
Our 1-on-1 care philosophy is simple: we treat people, not diagnoses. Every patient receives a personalized plan of care delivered by a board-certified physical therapist in a private treatment room—something you simply can't find at most Boston PT clinics. We check in with patients on our days off. We volunteer at the Boston Marathon every year. We educate local teams on injury prevention. Because your recovery doesn't follow a 9-to-5 schedule, and neither do we. Explore our full range of physical therapy services and find out why thousands of patients across Greater Boston trust Joint Ventures for their recovery. #JVExperience

Boston Patients Trust Joint Ventures

I was referred to Joint Ventures because of back pain. The people at the front helped me feel comfortable and were always friendly and helped me set up future appointments. My physical therapist, Philip Kobus was not only very helpful and knowledgeable, but patient with me as well and answered every single question I had. I hope to not need to go back for physical therapy, but if i have to, I would definitely be coming here. It's easy to get to and they have a wide range of hours available. I'll definitely be returning for wellness checks to keep learning new ways to improve my physical health.
I ended up at joint ventures physical therapy because MGH Boston was unable to treat me for what I needed. I'm so glad I found this place after all! The front desk staff is friendly, helpful and answers the phone every time I call. My PT, physical therapist, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and empathetic.THE DEAL: if you want PT from a caring professional, with a personalized touch, I highly recommend joint ventures physical therapy!
The best-trained practitioners and patient, caring help with chronic issues that I have found in the Boston area.
Would definitely recommend! The staff there are comprehensive and kind. Appointments are easy to schedule. Allison is a wonderful PT! Parking is easy, the waiting area is nice, and the facilities are well-maintained. My exercises are logged and tracked in an easy app I can check in on through my phone or on the website. I can already feel an improvement!
Amazing experience at Joint Ventures. I've done years of PT on and off and restarted to try and put off a hip replacement as long as I could. Not only did Sam get me to a place where I've been basically pain free, but my I've even run a bit - something I haven't done in over a decade. Right now a replacement isn't even on the table and I'm stronger and more comfortable than I've been in years. Highly recommend.
Just completed my PT sessions at Joint Ventures, Wellesley for a Total Knee Replacement. I can’t say enough great things to describe my PT experience with the entire staff. I want to also express my utmost thanks to Emily for her amazing care and kindness.
I highly recommend Molly at Fort Point for postpartum and pelvic floor PT. Molly is super knowledgeable, but also very compassionate and friendly. Over the course of a few months, she gave me tailored progressive exercises to strengthen my weakened core, heal my diastasis recti, and eliminate my post-C-section pain. Moreover, her kind words, positive attitude, and encouragement were just what I needed as a struggling new mom. She helped me get through the postpartum months and thanks to Molly, I'm back to my pre-pregnancy workout routine and feeling great. I couldn't have had a better experience.
I continue to be impressed with the Joint Ventures team. I am very happy with the progress I have made over the past 4 weeks with my physical therapist, Andy. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and encouraging. I would recommend Joint Ventures to all my colleagues, friends and family.
Keith Foley is wonderful, understanding and makes you feel positive that you will get back stronger. I would highly recommend Joint ventures physical therapy Quincy.
Joint Ventures is a company that I can honestly say that I feel proud to work for, and stand behind the business/treatment model we use on a daily basis. After working for the company for 5 years, I moved out of the Boston area, and struggled to find anywhere that felt like the right fit, as I was used to being able to provide one-on-one care. Luckily, Joint Ventures was ready to expand to the MetroWest area and I was able to come back to doing what I love with a company that I genuinely believe in. There are always opportunities to pursue areas of interest/growth or strengths whether it is clinical or management related, which I have always found to be an important way to keep people inspired and involved.

I started working for Joint Ventures in 2014 as an administrative assistant. The growth I have experienced here, both professionally and personally, has a lot to do with the amazing people of JV who supported me along the way. I was given the opportunity to learn, develop, and find a path that interested me which has led me to a role in billing. The support came not only from my direct managers and coworkers but executive-level staff and ownership, and that still continues to this day. It's also a big added bonus that coworkers have turned into friends and the company promotes creating relationships by holding different events, fundraisers, and gatherings to foster that environment. Most of which are actually really, really fun!

Being a patient and an employee at Joint Ventures has given me the unique experience of receiving treatment and playing a part in the behind the scenes work that goes into the business as a whole. I treat with Rachael at the Fort Point Clinic. The level of care, knowledge and support I receive during my recovery and continuous athletic development is exceptional. From the up-front insurance verification and benefits detailing to the personalized care and support, I can't thank JV enough for getting me running pain free and faster than ever. This level of care doesn't stop at treatment, it bleeds directly into the JV staff. JV promotes a company culture of teamwork, respect and community that is cultivated between both clinical and non-clinical staff and I'm honored to have the opportunity to be a part of it. I am proud to work for a company that provides the best possible care for both their patients and employees.

Joint Ventures has been my favorite physical therapy clinic I've worked at. It is the perfect blend between clinical independence and autonomy along with a strong community and team-feel. Every day I feel like I get to work as the clinician I want to be all while working alongside an amazing group of clinicians and colleagues. From top down, every member of the team has been a pleasure to be around. Plus, the pay, benefits, and compensation package is phenomenal!

After being a Medical Biller for over 10 years, I found my home at JVPT! Many companies prior treated me as a producer, a number, not a team member! Joint Ventures is a completely different company to work at! As one of the "Senior" members of the staff, I have worked a few other places and witnessed some ok and some terrible "teams"! Starting with the owners, Dan and Dave, this company has an amazing way to make you feel like you are a real asset to the success of the company and you are not just an employee. I have a voice and it's incredible! I thank my lucky stars every day I was hired by Kim Dragon back in 2013! I will retire here as there is no other place I truly want to be!
- Amanda Lebel
Joint ventures is an amazing clinic. All of the Physical Therapists really love and care about what they do, which makes working with them so amazing!

I've been working at JVPT for the past 4 years in 3 of the satellite clinics, so I've had the chance to treat alongside quite a few therapists within the company. Over my 20+ years as a therapist, I have never seen so much talent, compassion, and skill in a concentrated environment! There is such a wide variety of backgrounds among the staff and everyone is so willing to share knowledge, problem solve, and support each other. Leadership values autonomy while always making themselves available for staff needs and encouraging growth. JV has done such an amazing job cultivating a real "family feel". For this reason and many others, I can say with certainty that this has been my most fun and rewarding job!
