Recently, I asked Dan and Dave a series of obscure questions to reveal the the non-business side of our beloved bosses. They obliged with some pretty amazing answers. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did. (also, how cute are their kids??)
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
DL: Invisible….I know, lame…everyone wants invisibility….but the possibilities with invisibility are practically endless. If I got superpowers, I wouldn’t want limits. Can I get a superpower called “limitless” and apply that to anything?
DB: The power to heal people of course…I’m a physical therapist!
What’s your favorite song/band of all time?
DL: Waaaaay too hard a question! I grew up with a music teacher for a mother who exposed me to all sorts of music from rock to classical to show tunes. I’m the lead singer in a rock cover band, so a lot of the music we play is on my favorites list. I usually go through phases and get really into something and then get inspired by something else. Right now….it’s some old school Marc Cohn, some Pearl Jam and some John Hiatt. But if I really had to pick one……ughhh, I can’t do it! If you have a song you really like, let me know about it. I’m always up for something new.
DB: Anything by Bruce Springsteen. We are from the same hometown of Freehold, NJ.
Do you have a nickname? How did it originate? (Keep it clean guys)
DL: Not one that has stuck with me for long. I was called “little Larson” growing up because I have an older brother, but once I got taller than him, that one disappeared.
DB: Stan – Dan is the responsible guy. Stan was the guy that liked to party and had no responsibilities at all!
If you were a type of food, what type of food would you be?
DL: Ice cream….who doesn’t like ice cream?
DB: A Dunkin Donut. You ever hear someone say they don’t like a Dunkin Donut?
What is one of your favorite quotes?
DL: "Life itself is a race, marked by a start, and a finish. It is what we learn during the race, and how we apply it that determines whether our participation has had a particular value. If we learn from each success, and each failure, and improve ourselves through the process, then, at the end, we have fulfilled our potential and performed well." -- Dr. F. Porsche
DB: “Make time for health now, or make time for illness later.”

Best thing about living/working in Boston?
DL: The convenience of seeing a ball game, going to a show or concert, being on the water/the beach all within 3 miles!
DB: People are outgoing, the sports fans are die hard, the restaurants are great, and there is always something to do… Great energy!
If you could have a drink with anyone, (fictional, alive, dead, famous, non-famous) who would it be?
DL: Jesus…if my choice is really anyone….why not!
DB: Will Ferrell. That guy is hysterical!
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
DL: Actually Googled Crayola crayon colors to come up with this one…. Cerulean. It’s a solid blue with a great name!
DB: Blue…It is the majority favorite!

Favorite mode of exercise, why?
DL: Sports….I’m not a natural runner or biker or swimmer, but I’m a competitive person. So make it a game/put a ball in front of me, and I can have fun for hours.
DB: Any sport. I am very competitive so this gets me in shape while driving me to work harder to win.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?
DL: Paul Walker from The Fast and Furious. I’ve been told he’s my celebrity look-alike. I think that’s a huge compliment….for him! J/k’ing!
DB: Ben Affleck – No matter how bad his movies are, people go and see them.
